Tennent’s Training Academy have an exciting opportunity for a Meeting & Events Host to join our fun and friendly team!

Based inside the Wellpark Brewery, this is one of the most unusual and iconic places to work in Glasgow. This award winning venue is one of the top rated activities on Trip Advisor, comprising of a state of the art training school for the hospitality industry, The Glasgow Cookery School, and our Bar & Wine School which hosts popular, informative and unusual masterclasses each week.

Our guests could be looking for a brewery tour, a bespoke food & drink experience; an industry recognised qualification or an unusual venue to host their meeting or party.  We are looking to further grow our business in 2018 and we need a talented, out-going & confident individual to manage this area of the business and take ownership for every event.

The Role:

The Meetings and Events Host is an integral role for the business, you will be the first point of contact for many of our corporate & leisure customers.  You will meet and greet customers as the come into the academy for leisure courses or private events they may have booked which have been tailored and bespoke to their every request.  Your main objective is to ensure that each and every customer is shown a top level hospitality experience at the academy and becomes a repeat customer. The role would be suited to someone from a hospitality /events background as there will be bar and kitchen work involved, so you will need to be able to work under pressure and be organised and in control at all times.

This role includes administrative, operational tasks to complete daily, whilst working in a busy office environment you will also be required to set up and run the events, dealing with your clients from arrival at the academy, to delivery of the event on the day (or night) and through to the customers final departure. The right candidate will be able to multi task and deal with all admin and operational duties.

The Person:

We are looking for a candidate with a good understanding of arranging unique events within the hospitality industry, previous experience would be beneficial although not essential, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service is a must!

We are a small, fun but hard working team and we are ready and waiting to find our newest recruit!

This role will be offered with a minimum weekly contract of 16 hours however during peak periods weekly hours can flex up for the right candidate.

Full driving license is required and the ability to work evenings and weekends.
