We are currently on the lookout for a Junior Sous to join our team at The Granary in Leith.
The Granary serves quality hearty food in comfortable homely setting down by the Leith docks. Sitting on the Leith Shore front, in an area brimming with stylish, top quality bars and Michelin star restaurants, The Granary is building a reputation for serving high quality food alongside premium beer, wines and cocktails.
As a Junior Sous Chef you will play an important role supporting the Head Chef in the day to day management of the kitchen.
You will be working alongside a close knit team who love what they do. You will be fully involved in all aspects of the kitchen operation, in addition to menu compilation, team training, and ensuring that all aspects of the operation comply with legislative requirements. You will also be expected to deputise for the Head Chef and Sous Chef in their absence.
You will have strong people and operational management skills and have experience in the industry at a supervisory level.
Experience at this level is preferential, especially working with fresh produce in a high-volume kitchen.
