Job Title:

First Line Technical Support 

Job Description:

Reporting to the Head of IT you will be responsible for answering and logging the IT support calls and emails received by the IT team. You will assist in PC and server builds and also fault diagnosis. You will work with colleagues to provide first level technical support to the business on a day to day basis. You will be required to support other projects for the business from time to time. ​

Responsibilities:

  • Support the IT function of the group in order to deliver a secure and stable IT infrastructure.
  • Manage relationships with all G1 staff who contact IT for assistance
  • Work with the other members of IT to deliver the IT projects.
  • Engage with other staff within the group in order to ensure they have the relevant understanding of the systems they are using.
  • Ensure an accurate and complete asset register is maintained
  • Provide first line technical support to business users
  • Assist in maintaining the integrity and reliability of all IT equipment deployed within the group.
  • Manage upcoming project work with multiple competing day to day demands;
  • Ensure all hardware and software used within the group is fully licensed and compliant
  • Ensure that data protection requirements and procedures are adhered to
  • Maintain technical knowledge required for the role, through a combination of self-learning and attending form technical updates.

Skills & Experience:

  • This is an entry level role for an IT graduate
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to follow direction and tasks
  • Responsible attitude
  • Demonstrable appetite for working as part of a team, acknowledging and respecting the skills others can bring to the workplace.
