G1 Group is a collection of over 50 venues. Lots of our venues are housed in grade A & B listed buildings, carefully restored, expanded, refreshed and put to good use. We have restaurants, hotels, nightclubs, bars, cinemas, casinos and more.

We are looking for an experienced and talented Duty Manager to join our fantastic venue, The Murrayfield Hotel.

The Murrayfield Hotel and House is located in Edinburgh City Centre with ample, free parking and is the perfect destination for business, leisure or family occasions. The Murrayfield Hotel combines fantastic hospitality, outstanding value for money and serves as a perfect base from which to explore the historical Edinburgh City Centre. Located just a couple of minutes away from Edinburgh Zoo’s (and its giant pandas), the national Murrayfield Stadium which frequently plays host to major live sporting events, as well as music concerts and Haymarket Train Station.

Role Responsibilities

Planning and organising F&B department, accommodation and other hotel services; promoting and marketing the business.

Managing budgets and financial plans as well as controlling expenditure.

Maintaining statistical and financial records.

Recruiting, training and monitoring staff.

Planning work schedules for individuals and teams.

Meeting and greeting customers, arranging FAM trips as required to promote the hotels to prospective individual and corporate clients.

Dealing with customer complaints and comments swiftly, taking appropriate action where necessary.

Ensuring all F&B service, events and conferences run smoothly.

Supervising maintenance, supplies, renovations and furnishings.

Dealing with contractors and suppliers.

Ensuring security is effective.

Carrying out inspections of property and services.

Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.

To undertake additional duties as may be required by business trends.

Skills & Experience

Experience in a management role within a busy and demanding venue.

The ability to lead and motivate your team members.

Experience of driving sales and developing the business.

Volume F&B experience 

Highly organized and self-motivated individual.

First class customer service and communication skills.
