We have a well-established team who are passionate about good food and we’re looking to add a talented and enthusiastic Commis Chef to our existing team. The Role: As Commis Chef, your role will include: Ability to take instruction and show a real interest in food and willingness to learn to cook. To form an integral part of a highly motivated kitchen team. Ability to maintain the high standards set out to you before you begin. Follow instructions from senior members of the team to ensure correct completion of jobs. Maintain excellent hygiene standards that are set out by the company. Assist in achieving high performance standards, adhering to Company policies and procedures. Assist in the accurate completion of the Kitchen Cooksafe as directed. Ensure all complaints and accidents are reported in line with Company Policy. Clean down the section ensuring everything is placed in appropriate containers, covered properly, labelled and stored correctly. Maintain high a standard of cleaning when finishing at any section. Ensure all equipment in the section is pulled out and cleaned according to Company policies and procedures. Assisting other staff with the clean down at the end of the night and only leaving the kitchen when the whole team has finished and hygiene standards have been met, unless authorised by line manager. Develop an understanding of customer needs. Learn to communicate with colleagues, including front of house, to ensure excellent customer service. Develop strong working relationships with colleagues. Adhere to Company values and directions. The Person: The ideal candidate will have: You will excel in your Chef profession and will be looking to progress within a dynamic company that can help you take the next step on the career ladder. The ability to work in a fast paced and high pressured environment. You will have strong people and operational management skills and have experience in the industry at CDP level. You take pride in yourself, your work, and your wider team.
