An opportunity has arisen for a General Manager at the Perth Playhouse and City Café.

The Perth Playhouse is a listed 7 screen independent cinema at the heart of the city which shows a wide range of films and events and is at the heart of entertainment in the city. It also has the City Café and is home to the UK’s only independent Imax.

We are looking for a General Manager to lead the team. This is a vital role to support sales growth, control costs, train and inspire our team and drive the highest standards of customer service and experience. You will need to be able to act on your own initiative and take responsibility for the effective operation of the business.

You will need to be an effective communicator and have a strong commercial awareness. The Playhouse operates across a wide range of opening times and you will need to be prepared to work on a mix of shift patterns.

Role Responsibilities

Deliver an efficient cinema operation with outstanding customer service

Ensure high standards are maintained and within the remit of Quality guidelines and Operations Manager standards audits

Development of a cinema business plan, involving the cinema team, taking into account local, regional and national Targets

Responsible for ensuring company policies and procedures are adhered to

Skills & Experience

Managerial, Sales and F&B experience required

Demonstrate ownership of P&L, driving revenue and controlling costs

Cinema industry experience
