We are currently on the lookout for Chefs of various levels to come and join our new team here in the heart of Edinburgh

The Scotsman Buildings, situated in the very heart of Edinburgh on the Northbridge, are one of the city’s most iconic and recognisable addresses. Housed within it, the former Northbridge Brasserie, is now set to be transformed by the group behind some of the country’s most exciting brands in the restaurant & wider hospitality market, and we are looking for a Sous Chef, a Chef de Partie, Breakfast Chef and Commis Chef to join us in time for our new adventure!

Just as the Northbridge straddles both the Old & New Towns, our new dining & drinking offer will combine the timeless elegance & energy of a bustling brasserie, with the razor sharp service style and show stopper surroundings of a cutting edge contemporary concept.

You will become the benchmark, the furthest thing from ordinary. We are looking for leaders- and we don’t just mean managers, we mean passionate, fun, dynamic personalities who want to realise a shared dream. 

 

A little about the roles we have available:

As Sous Chef you will play an important role supporting the Head Chef in the day to day management of the kitchen. You will be fully involved in all aspects of the kitchen operation, in addition to menu compilation, developing junior members of the team, and ensuring that all aspects of the operation comply with legislative requirements. You will also be expected to fully deputise for the Head Chef in their absence.

As Chef de Partie you will be technically strong with good communication skills and be confident in running a designated kitchen station. You'll also be required to ensure service, production and legislative standards are maintained and that these standards are communicated and trained to new employees.  

As Breakfast Chef you will assist the Head Chef in the organisation of kitchen operations, focusing on breakfast service and foods.

As Commis Chef you will be conscientious and creative and passionate about ensuring our guests receive the best quality food possible. The basic scope of the role is to assist the Chefs in the organisation of kitchen operations.

 

A Little About You:

You will excel in your Chef profession and will be looking to progress within a dynamic company that can help you take the next step on the career ladder

Your CV is varied and extensive, and makes for great reading

You have relevant experience, qualifications and/or training

You take pride in yourself, your work, and your wider team
