The G1 Chef School Is Open Again And Ready For New Students in St Andrews and Perth - Apply Now!
With a national chef shortage it is vital as a business that we invest in up and coming talent around the country.
Following the success of the Pilot Programme in Glasgow we are taking the G1 Chef School to St Andrews and Perth.
The St Andrews G1 Chef School will be based in venues including Forgans, Dolls House, The Vic and Bothy Perth. The Chef School will commence in November 2018 and will run for 6 months.
Each section will be made up of a mix of group training days, e-learning, on the job training and practical working.
Topics covered on Group Training Days will include: Cultural Foods, Bread Making, Fish Mongering, & Butchery
To round off the programme there will be a graduation day for all those who have successfully completed the programme.
On successful completion of the programme you will graduate as a G1 Commis Chef and be supported to progress in further career development.
This programme has a significant cost attached to it which will be covered by external supplier investment and an investment by G1 Group to further develop our kitchen brigades for the future.
The programme is open for internal and external applicants and there is no previous kitchen experience required however applicants must:
- Have a passion to pursue a career as a chef with G1 Group
- Consider that the programme is full time and based in St Andrews or Perth
- Be prepared to fully embrace the 6 month programme inclusive of trips, e-learning & working on shift.
