The Inn on the Mile hosts an intimate 9 boutique bedrooms, our crisp and clean interiors and décor is the perfect base to explore our great city with an ideal location located on The Royal Mile in the heart of the city centre. Our aim is pretty simple really – we don’t go in for tiny portions of unpronounceable food, instead we love fresh produce, hearty cooking, and a good stiff drink to wash it all down.
We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic Chef de Partie/Sous to join our existing kitchen team.
You will be working in a vibrant kitchen atmosphere; we’re a hardworking, friendly kitchen team and we are looking forward to welcoming another talented team member. This role will involve developing and learning new recipes, daily preparation and presentation of food and ensuring the kitchen is kept hygienically clean, in accordance with Health & Safety and Food Hygiene legislation.
You will be technically strong with good communication skills, and have the ability to run your own section. It’s a busy kitchen and you’ll be expected to work hard but we pride ourselves on working as a team and making sure that we support each other effectively.
It is essential that you are able to work well within a team and provide efficient support to the Head Chef.
This role would suit a Commis Chef with 2 years’ experience looking to take the next step in your career and develop your skills within a busy kitchen.
Full training will be given into the role, and there are excellent career development opportunities for the right person. Rates of pay are negotiable and will be discussed if you are selected for interview.
