Here at G1 Group we are currently looking for an experienced Area Sales & Events Manager for Edinburgh and The North. This role will be predominately covering Edinburgh but will also incorporate venues in St Andrews, Broughty Ferry, Perth and Aberdeen.

This is a key role within the business, through strong team leadership you will assist in driving Sales Revenue across all sites in your territory.
The role of Area Sales & Events Manager:
Creation, management and implementation of Regional and Local Area Sales Plans will be an integral part of the role whilst also working with Central Reservations (Sales Centre) and Venue Sales & Event Managers and coordinators, to ensure they are as effective as possible.
The Area Sales & Events Manager should provides excellent customer service through every sales process from customer enquiry/acquisition to post event. Strongs sales and negotiation skills are essential.
As Area Sales & Events manager you should recognise opportunities to up sell and cross sell throughout the group. With a key focus on maximising revenue, lead generation conversions and repeat customer business.
We need someone who is constantly striving to deliver outstanding customer care and commercial success.
This role will require you to work directly with each sales manager to coach and develop their performance. Secure an efficient team capable of both following directions and leading their own sales drives. We therefore need a strong leader who has the power to train and influence others.
The ideal candidate will be commercially driven and financially astute and will have experience of leading sales teams in the hospitality/leisure industry. They will also have knowledge of the corporate market and will be very structured in their approach to managing their team.
